How to Make Costco Chicken Bake at Home
Step 1: Prepare the Filling
In a large bowl, combine shredded chicken, garlic powder, Caesar dressing, cooked bacon, green onion, ½ cup mozzarella cheese, and ⅓ cup Parmesan cheese. Toss until the ingredients are evenly mixed.
Step 2: Roll and Fill the Dough
Let the pizza dough rest at room temperature for about an hour. Divide it into two portions and roll each into a 12-13 inch circle on a floured surface. Spread half of the filling onto each circle, then fold the edges slightly over the filling. Roll the dough into a log shape and pinch the edges to seal.
Step 3: Bake the Chicken Bakes
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Place the rolled dough seam-side down on the baking sheet. Brush the tops with beaten egg and sprinkle with the reserved mozzarella and Parmesan cheese. Bake for about 20 minutes or until golden brown.
Step 4: Cool and Serve
Once baked, let the chicken bakes cool slightly before slicing. Serve warm with a crisp side salad or your favorite dipping sauce for a complete meal.
Expert Tips To Make The Best Costco Chicken Bake
- Use Fresh Pizza Dough: Allow the dough to rest at room temperature for at least an hour—it’ll be easier to roll out and shape.
- Use Rotisserie Chicken: Save time by using store-bought rotisserie chicken. It’s perfectly seasoned and tender. If you need a recipe for chicken breasts to use, check out my frozen crockpot chicken recipe.
- Customize the Filling: Add chopped spinach, sautéed mushrooms, or sun-dried tomatoes for extra flavor. Another delicious filling is chicken, bacon, and ranch dressing!
- Broil for a Crispy Top: For extra crunch, broil the chicken bakes for the last 1-2 minutes.
